Data Protection

The personal information collected by the University of the West of England (the data controller) will be processed by the University in accordance with the terms and conditions of the General Data Protection Regulation, as amended and enacted in UK law, including maintaining applicant data in secure conditions. We will hold your data securely and not make it available to any third party unless permitted or required to do so by law.

Why we keep your data:

  • To provide you with information, advice, guidance and support regarding any issues (including health or wellbeing concerns) that you might raise with us relating to you being a student at UWE Bristol.
  • To allow us to respond to any complaints or appeals you make
  • For training, monitoring and evaluating our service, where any data would be anonymised

Who we might share your data with:

  • Other members of Professional Services staff and your academic team.

  • We will delete any personal data we have about you, six years after your last contact with us.
